Pilgrim of the Week: Greg Scali, Admin Assistant R&D

Happy April! With the new month we have a new Pilgrim of the Week: Greg Scali, Administrative Assistant in Rights and Deliverables. Learn more about Greg below:

What do you do at Pilgrim?

I scan everything. Give it to me; I’ll scan it. There’s about 12 years worth of releases that need to be scanned. So I’m scanning it. I might even scan this.

What’s the coolest project you’ve worked on?

Tapout was tough. A lot of polaroids. My scanner—scannie—wasn’t the biggest fan, but we got through it. It’s fun seeing people pose for release photos with the thought that they’re going to be on TV. Kids and old people are the most excited. Middle-age people are more skeptical. I’ve also noticed that people sometimes misspell their own names on releases. I thought that was pretty funny, until I realized that it’s possible I’ve misspelled my own name somewhere on some form and didn’t notice. What if some admin somewhere is making fun of Greg Sacli? You just never know.

What’s the best thing that happened to you this week, either at work or outside of it?

It’s only Monday. Do Sunday’s count as the start or end of the week? If start, I watched this 80s Pierce Brosnan jam called Nomads last night. He was being hunted by the devil—I think it was the devil—it was a little confusing. It was good though. His hair was great. He did have this French accent though, and I personally like my Pierce suave and British, but I got over it, eventually. If Sunday doesn’t count though, my barista double stamped my loyalty card this morning. I’m on schedule to get a free slice of pie by Friday now.

Fill in the blank: If you really knew me, you’d know_____.

I’m reading Myrna Loy’s autobiography for the second time. And I owe the LA Public Library $40.

Who do you nominate for Pilgrim feature and why?

Matt Ducey because he’s Santa Claus.
